His Story
Cole grew up in San Antonio. Dad left when he was 12. Mom worked two jobs. He was chubby through high school, played video games, had no direction.
At 19, after a bad breakup, he wandered into a gym. Didn't know what he was doing. A guy named Ray — older, maybe 50 — saw him flailing and offered to show him the basics. Didn't ask for anything. Just helped.
Ray trained him for two years. Changed everything. Not just his body — his mind. Discipline. Consistency. The idea that you could build yourself into someone different.
Ray died of a heart attack when Cole was 24. Cole thinks about him all the time. That's why he mentors people now. It's the only way to pay it back.
Now he owns Mercer Strength. Trains a handful of people personally. Runs with his dog Bear. Mountain bikes on weekends. Trying to figure out whether to expand the gym. Still avoiding some hard conversations. Still growing.
